DESCRIPTION:The aim of the game is to find your way around Palma de Mallorca whilst learning some facts about the city’s historic tourist attractions.  After purchasing this game you will be sent a QR code that\, once scanned\, will take you to the information page for the first attraction.  For each attraction there is a map of it’s location\, some information about it and a riddle for you to solve (based on clues around the attraction – teamwork here is key) that\, when entered into the answer page correctly\, will give you some random letters (store these somewhere safe as you will need them later) and the link to the next attraction page.  After you have been to all of the attractions you will have enough letters to unscramble the anagram that will reveal the finish point.

DESCRIPTION:Every 16 July\, Mallorca’s fishing communities honour the Virgin of Carmen patron saint of sailors with one of the island’s most visually stunning traditions. Dozens of boats adorned with flowers\, flags and banners set sail in convoy from harbours across the island\, carrying a statue of the Virgin out to sea. Flowers are cast onto the water in memory of those lost at sea. SUMMARY:La Patrona — Moors and Christians Battle\, Pollenca
DESCRIPTION:One of the most extraordinary free events in the Mediterranean and it happens right here in Mallorca. Every 2 August\, the entire town of Pollenca spills into the streets to re-enact the night of 30 May 1550\, when local hero Joan Mas woke the town and led 300 brave Pollensins to defeat 1\,500 Ottoman pirates led by the feared corsair Dragut. \nThe week builds with concerts\, exhibitions\, markets\, cannon fire\, fireworks and late-night parties. On the day itself\, the whole town dresses up\, Christians in white pyjamas\, Moors in colourful pirate attire and the mock battle tears through the narrow streets. Wooden swords\, face paint\, fireworks and several thousand people pressed into cobblestone streets cheering. It ends with the victorious Christians singing the town anthem at the parish church. Epic in every sense.

SUMMARY:La Patrona — Moors and Christians Battle\, Pollenca
DESCRIPTION:One of the most extraordinary free events in the Mediterranean and it happens right here in Mallorca. Every 2 August\, the entire town of Pollenca spills into the streets to re-enact the night of 30 May 1550\, when local hero Joan Mas woke the town and led 300 brave Pollensins to defeat 1\,500 Ottoman pirates led by the feared corsair Dragut. \nThe week builds with concerts\, exhibitions\, markets\, cannon fire\, fireworks and late-night parties. On the day itself\, the whole town dresses up\, Christians in white pyjamas\, Moors in colourful pirate attire and the mock battle tears through the narrow streets. Wooden swords\, face paint\, fireworks and several thousand people pressed into cobblestone streets cheering. It ends with the victorious Christians singing the town anthem at the parish church. Epic in every sense.

The Festes de Sant Agusti is one of Mallorca’s best correfocs\, the island’s iconic fire run where hundreds of people dressed as demons tear through the streets with fireworks and crackers in a wall of noise\, fire and total chaos. The kind of thing you watch the first time with your jaw open and run straight into the second time. \nThe night ends with a verbena\, the traditional Mallorcan open-air dance party that goes until dawn. The whole town is out. Free to attend\, impossible to forget.

DESCRIPTION:One of the most magical free nights of the Mallorcan calendar. Palma’s Parc de la Mar transforms into a spectacular outdoor celebration for the eve of Sant Joan. The evening begins with a children’s fire run at 20:30\, followed by traditional ball de bot folk dancing and live music. At 22:30 the full correfoc begins — hundreds of fire-breathing ‘dimonis’ run through the streets with firecrackers and fireworks in a breathtaking display. Midnight concert follows. Wear cotton clothing and bring ear protection.
