Palma officially kicks off Christmas with the switch-on of its festive lights, and this year the celebration moves to Parc de la Mar, right below the Cathedral.

The Ajuntament de Palma’s traditional lights ceremony is the start of the city’s Christmas season. After the switch-on, the streets of the centre light up for the holidays, and the same day the new Christmas market and ice rink open at Parc de la Mar, so it’s a great evening to stay and explore.
