Every 28 July the mountain village of Valldemossa, one of the most beautiful spots in Mallorca transforms into a celebration of Santa Catalina Tomas, the island’s own beloved saint known affectionately as La Beata. She is deeply woven into Mallorcan identity and culture.

The evening fills with solemn processions through the village’s stone streets, participants in traditional costume carrying the image of the saint, and decorated floats that are genuinely spectacular. One of those evenings that feels quietly magical, the mountains above, lantern light below, the whole village out together.
