Every June, the town of Artà throws a proper multi-day celebration for Sant Antoni de Pàdua and it’s one of those events that reminds you exactly why Mallorca does fiestas better than anywhere else.

The festivities kick off on the 9th June, with the Acapte dels Cavallets a parade through the streets led by the young Cavallets dancers, building the buzz for what’s to come. On the 12th June, a solemn procession winds through the town in honour of the saint.

Then on the 13th June is the big one. A festive mass at 11 am is followed by an evening street fair from 8 pm, food stalls, drinks, live music and the whole town out in force. The highlight? The ancestral dance of the Cavallets and the traditional parade of floats, symbolic, spectacular, and completely unmissable.
